It is electric, clear and no nonsense drink that doesn’t require anything fancy in terms of its making or consuming.
The history of its origin dates back to the early 1970s, which is about a decade or so after the invention of Blue Curacao, which in fact opened the door for plenty of cocktails.
So what is this Blue Curacao? It is a Liqueur made from Orange peels and dyed Blue. Invented by Dutch Settlers in the island of Curacao, Blue Curacao has citrus flavors in it and hence aids so many cocktails for that zesty taste.
So, what is Blue Lagoon and how is it made?
An electric, crisp and enthusiastic, vibrant blue colored drink that is sure to light up your parties, and also quench your thirst!
- 1 oz. (30 ml) Vodka
- 1 oz. (30 ml) Blue Curacao
- 3 oz. (90 ml) Lemonade
- Lime Juice Splash
- Lemon Wheel (garnish)
- Fill a Cocktail Shaker with ice and add Vodka and Lemonade.
- Shake them well and strain into a Tulip glass filled with ice.
- Pour the Blue Curacao and a splash of Fresh Lemon juice into this drink and stir gently.
- Garnish with Lemon wheel.
- Serve and Enjoy the drink!
