Irish Car Bomb is essentially a Bomb shot similar to Boilermaker, where you drop a shot glass full of liquor into a bigger Pint glass, usually with Beer. The Cocktail in the pint glass is then consumed.

Invented in the year 1979, Irish Car Bomb became a sensation in Irish Pubs and began so popular for St. Patrick’s day celebrations. The shot, now commonly known as Irish Shot (name changed because of the controversial name) is still enjoyed around the world and if made and consumed right, this is one hell of a drink.

Tips To Make Irish Car Bomb

This drink must be consumed quickly. The reason for this is – the Irish Cream will start to curdle in beer if left for a few seconds and you might not want to gulp a curdle.

Jameson is a popular choice for Irish Whiskey, but you can substitute it with any other fine Irish Whiskey.

Chilled Beer is the best choice, so make sure to have your Beer pre-chilled.

No variations to this drink as far as I know. Only thing is some people might not want to name it Irish Car Bomb and prefer to call it Irish Shot.
